    Vuvuzela – Deadly Weapon Of Fun

    World Cup spirit has swept across South Africa which should not come as surprise to anyone. After all it’s the biggest stage for the most beautiful game and a first for an African country to host the event ever.

    The spirit is not only within but very much visible and audible to all. A parade through the streets of a Johannesburg suburb earlier this week witnessed tens of thousands of people waving and blasting their “deadly weapon of fun”, Vuvuzelas.

    A vuvuzela, sometimes called a “lepatata” (its Setswana name) is a blowing horn commonly blown by fans at football matches in South Africa. There is no getting away from the vuvuzela and tourists are buying up the horns of all sizes and colors.

    It sounds a lot fun and definitely creates the buzz in stadium even for television viewing audience. But, spare a thought for the locals too who have to live with it day in day out for a month.

    Tom Cruise Rocked 2010 MTV Movie Awards Show With Jennifer Lopez

    Tom Cruise in his avatar of Les Grossman rocked 2010 MTV Movie Awards with Jennifer Lopez. The awards ceremony was held at Universal Studios’ Gibson Amphitheater on Sunday (June 6) in Universal City, Calif. The duo worked it out to J.Lo’s 2005 song “Get Right”.

    Cruise told People magazine afterward that “It was a lot of fun – it was a blast!”. You know, I can dance a bit, and we rehearsed. And my wife’s (Katie Holmes) a dancer, so I like dancing!”

    Les Grossman started the show with a skit featuring Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Launter as cops.

    Twilight swept the award ceremony with four gongs including Best Movie, Best Female Performance for Kristen Stewart and Best Male Performance for Robert Pattinson.

    Adobe Says They Love Apple

    Since Apple Chief Executive Steve Jobs declared Open War against Adobe last month, the battle has become bitter.

    The technology world is divided into two sides and probably just enjoying the fun. When most of the CEOs give politically correct statements, that was an incredible scathing public attack from Jobs which didn’t leave any scope for Adobe to remain silent. Such audacity is typically attributed to Larry Ellison.

    Adobe did what it had to and they are retaliating. In their latest print ad, Adobe sarcastically says they love Apple, yet couldn’t help but put few concluding lines aiming at Apple. You can’t blame them, can you?

    Rumors are part of life for celebrities. But sometimes you feel bad for them. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have to be the most talked about celebrity couple. And we don’t even know if they are a couple.

    The Eclipse gang, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning will all be on The Oprah Winfrey Show this Thursday, May 13th. Hopefully there should be some facts coming out of the show which will stop few rumors. Till then the following rumors are not going to die.

    If reports and sources to be believed then Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have confessed to Winfrey that they are a couple. In exchange, Winfrey promised to go easy on the dating question while on the air.

    Fans at the taping confirmed that the TV host said at one point, “Everyone wants to know …,” which led to Pattinson joking that Stewart was pregnant and the actress countering by saying that he would have the baby if that were the case.

    Kim Kardashian Receives Death Threats From Bieber Babies Over Twitter Flirting With Justin Bieber

    The cute little flirting on Twitter has gone wrong. The heart broken Bieber babies have become aggressive and sending death threats to Kim Kardashian after Justin Bieber posted a photo of himself with Kim on twitter, writing jokingly, “Look its my girlfriend”.

    It all started this past weekend, when Bieber, 16, met Kardashian, 29, at the White House Correspondents’ dinner. Kim proclaimed on Twitter, “I officially have Bieber Fever!!!”. The Bieber fans didn’t take too kindly of the picture posted by Justing and the girlfriend comment.

    “I’m getting death threats,” Kim tweeted to Justin last night. “This is unBeliebable!!!”. The teen star was forced to calm his angry Bieber Babies telling them, “ladies calm down” and clarifying that Kardashian was only “a friend.”

    “a very sexy friend but a friend,” he Tweeted. “no need 4 threats. Let’s all be friends and hang out often.”

    Helena Christensen Posed Nude for Reebok

    Supermodel Helena Christensen has bared all (Warning:NSFW) for Reebok’s new EasyTone trainers which is designed by an ex-NASA engineer and promises to tone your legs and bum as you walk. The stunning full-length photograph shows her leaning against a ladder wearing nothing but the trainers. Not sure who will notice them when a long, lean, athletic and perfectly tanned body is on display.

    “With my busy schedule it’s a perfect way to do something without spending hours in the gym,” Christensen explained. “I’m impatient, when I try something I like to see results immediately. I could feel these working right away which is why I’ve stuck with them.”

    “Living in New York, I like to walk everywhere, so to have trainers that tone your legs and butt as you walk is fantastic,” she explained. “You can really feel them working and I’ve noticed a difference in just a few weeks. They are comfortable to walk in, it almost feels like you are walking on sand, but by the end of the day you can feel it in your legs almost like you have done a workout.”

    Interestingly this is not the first time someone has gone nude for shoes ad. Top Indian model Madhu Sapre did the same in early 90s for Tuffs Shoes (Warning:NSFW) which had created huge controversy in India.

    Jesse James Mistress Melissa Smith Writes Sandra Bullock A Letter

    You first screw it up and then say; oops, sorry my mistake. That’s what being done by Melissa Smith, second mistress of Jesse James. TMZ reports that she has penned a letter and faxed it off to Sandra’ agent on Sunday.

    A snippet of the letter reads as follows: “I felt I needed to reach out to you and tell you how deeply sorry I am for everything that you’ve been through. And I know nothing I can say in this letter is going to make the pain of my actions go away.”

    Smith continues, “I am sorry for any hurt or pain that I have caused you. My actions of engaging with a married man are unforgivable. I never meant you any harm. I compromised my beliefs on several occasions and as a result will never forgive myself.”

    Only Smith knows whether her apology is sincere or not. And only Sandra can decide on that. Apparently, this letter is not going to benefit Jesee in any way. According to another report by TMZ, Jesse wasn’t wearing his wedding ring this morning while dropping his kids off at school in Long Beach indicating his marriage to Sandra is shaky.

    Cameron Douglas, son of actor Michael Douglas, gets 5-year prison sentence for drug trafficking


    Actor Michael Douglas’s son has been sentenced to five years in jail for drug trafficking. Cameron Douglas was arrested last year at the trendy Gansevoort Hotel in New York. He pleaded guilty to drugs charges in January. Federal Judge Richard Berman gave his family a scolding and said the pleas for leniency he received made too many excuses for the drug-dealing junkie.

    “Get beyond and get over that idea … that Cameron Douglas is a victim,” Berman said. He told Cameron Douglas that the prison stint is his “last chance to make it.”

    In a brief statement, Cameron Douglas pledged to stay clean and “not be led astray by my warped thinking and false pretences due to my heroin addiction.

    “I want to take the right path … I feel like it’s my duty,” he said, adding that he hoped to become “an entertainer” when he’s freed. “I apologize to my family and my loved ones for putting them through this nightmare of my making,” he added.

    Michael Douglas didn’t say a word as he left court but was heard telling his son’s lawyers, “It’s fair.” His mother, Diandra Douglas, mouthed, “I love you” to her son in the courtroom.
